The ceremony will be held at Richmond upon Thames Register Office on Saturday 11 June 2011 at 12 noon. The Richmond Register Office (top red marker below) is a grade II listed Georgian building set within a quarter of an acre of mature, secluded gardens. Travel details, directions, and parking information can be found here. Please plan to be at the Register Office 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony at 12, and please turn off your mobile phones! Please use the white gate marked 'Ceremonies Entrance' in Mount Ararat Road, and guests will be directed to the gardens at the rear of the Register Office, which access the waiting room, before being shown to the ceremony room. The ceremony itself will be complete and we'll be married before 1pm, we'll then have a short photo shoot outside the front of the Register Office before moving on to the reception at The Petersham Hotel. The Petersham (bottom green marker below) is a beautiful hotel standing proud on the side of Richmond Hill, overlooking the River Thames and surrounding meadows. If the weather is good its a pleasant 20-25 minute stroll along the river from the Register Office to The Petersham. We have booked The River Room from 1.30pm, with a private terrace and great views overlooking the River Thames, and we'll be providing drinks and a buffet lunch, before we head off to the airport and New York at around 5.30pm! |
